Asam & Co. Perfumers has distilled attars and essential oils in Makrand Nagar since 1912. The method hasn't changed: Deg-Bhapka, the traditional copper-still process, passed down across three generations.
Today the house is run by proprietor Ahmed Ashhar, who treats every batch, retail or bulk export, as a continuation of the same 114-year practice, not a product line.
Asam & Co. Perfumers begins distilling attars using Deg-Bhapka, a 1,000-year-old traditional hydro-distillation method, on GT Rd, Makrand Nagar, in Kannauj — India's "Perfume Capital" and the historic heart of the country's attar-making tradition.
The distillation practice moves from generation to generation without shortcuts — no switch to faster steam-strip methods, no alcohol-cut formulations. What changes is the market; what doesn't is the still.
Proprietor Ahmed Ashhar now runs the house, serving both individual retail customers and wholesale/export buyers from the same batches, distilled the same way since 1912.

Our attars are oil-based, not alcohol-cut, the same way they were made in 1912 and the way we still make them.
